1 FUR 1 Foundation helps animals heal people on their journey to wellness. As a 100% volunteer‑run nonprofit, we expand access to animal‑assisted services across the United States by creating, nurturing, and supporting therapeutic programs that improve health and emotional well‑being through the human‑animal bond.

In 2025, our network of 85 certified therapy dogs and mini horses reached nearly 70,000 people across 14 states. Over 11 years, 1 FUR 1 has touched the lives of more than 378,619 individuals, delivering comfort, connection, and healing to children, veterans, seniors, first responders, foster youth, hospital patients, and many others in need.

Your Generosity Made an Impact Last Year

Last year, donor support brought a therapy mini horse to the Naples Public Library, giving young children an hour of joyful, unforgettable experience with the healing power of specially trained mini-horse.

And thanks to 8 donors who contributed $295, we curated customized holiday appreciation gifts to 4 of our partner teams—including enrichment toys for their therapy animals and small self‑care items for their dedicated handlers.

These token of appreciation reminded our partners that their impact and volunteerism matters.
