Eye Got U is a community-rooted organization born and raised in North Long Beach. We believe safety is not created by simply putting people in a uniform or placing a program in a neighborhood—it is created through relationships, trust, consistency, and showing up when the community needs you. Our work focuses on creating safe spaces and connecting young people and residents with safe people who are willing to step up, listen, de-escalate conflict, provide support, and help someone find a safer path forward. From schools and parks to neighborhood corridors and community events, Eye Got U works directly where people live, learn, and grow.

Our work is especially personal in North Long Beach, where we have spent years building relationships with youth, families, schools, community partners, and residents. Through Safe Passage, youth leadership and safety ambassador programs, community engagement, and partnerships with organizations throughout Long Beach, we don’t just talk about violence prevention and community safety—we put relationships into action. A donation to Eye Got U helps us put more trusted people in the community, create more safe spaces for young people, expand leadership opportunities, and respond to needs before they become crises. Mission

Eye Got U Inc. is a community-rooted nonprofit committed to empowering underserved communities through youth development, violence prevention, mentorship, safe spaces, community engagement, and access to resources. EGU works to strengthen neighborhoods by building relationships with residents and creating opportunities for young people to develop leadership, confidence, purpose, and a sense of belonging. Our approach recognizes that safer communities are built through trusted relationships and meaningful investment in the people who live there. EGU seeks to transform young people from recipients of services into active leaders, mentors, organizers, and positive contributors to their communities.
