Every dollar raised during Long Beach Gives will help Disabled Resources Center continue providing life-changing services that empower people with disabilities to live independently. Your support will help us:

  • Provide one-on-one Independent Living services that help individuals set goals, solve problems, and access community resources.

  • Expand our Device Lending Program, allowing people to borrow wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, ramps, and other essential mobility equipment at no cost.

  • Support benefits counseling, helping people access SSI, SSDI, Medi-Cal, Medicare, CalFresh, and other vital public benefits.

  • Provide peer support and advocacy, connecting individuals with mentors who have lived experience with disability and can offer guidance, encouragement, and hope.

  • Offer employment and independent living skills training, empowering people with disabilities to prepare for work, manage their finances, navigate transportation, and live more independently.

  • Respond to urgent community needs, ensuring individuals with disabilities have access to critical resources during emergencies and times of crisis.
