The North Pine Neighborhood Alliance (NPNA) is a dedicated group of passionate volunteers committed to enhancing and beautifying our community. The NPNA helps shape our neighborhood's future by keeping residents (renters and owners) informed and involved. We take pride in fostering a clean, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

We promote civic engagement through our monthly community meetings where we hear from civic representatives and guest speakers on relevant topics. During Q&A, we express our opinions and priorities, ensuring that our community’s voice is heard and its needs are addressed. One voice can be ignored, but a chorus cannot be overlooked.

Your financial support enables us to continue:

  • The Beautify Pine team meets weekly to maintain 12 planters comprising 2000 square feet of garden area between 4th and 7th Streets on Pine Avenue. We water, plant, prune, and mulch the beds, and install and repair fencing.

  • The Get Up and Go team meets monthly to walk the neighborhood to maintain the streets and public spaces. We do light trash pickup and report concerns such as dumped trash, graffiti, and broken streetlights on the Go Long Beach app. The app can help us identify persistent or recurring problems which we elevate to the appropriate city department.

  • Major trash removal events occur as needed. We coordinate this through the city service.

  • We promote and support forming Ready Your Long Beach Neighborhood cohorts for hyper-local disaster preparedness.

  • Our persistent advocacy influences the priorities and decisions of the City Council District 1, the Mayor’s office, and the Long Beach Police Department.

  • Social events enhance membership and foster community.

  • Support for the North Pine area businesses and schools recognizes our need for infrastructure to underpin our community.

Join us in making a difference! Contributing, volunteering, attending local meetings and events, or simply sharing ideas promotes the continued growth of the neighborhood. Together, we can build a thriving and connected community!
