Rebuilding Together Long Beach

Rebuilding Together makes a huge difference in the lives of the people we serve. We work with homeowners in need of critical repairs that have far reaching effects. We focus our services in three main areas. Safe at Home serves residents over 65 years old so they may live independently in their own homes free of safety hazards. Our Building a Healthy Neighborhood is an upcoming initiative where we will bring together an entire community (including volunteers, residents and other nonprofits or neighborhood groups) to revitalize a specific neighborhood with unmet needs. Our Veterans at Home program honors our military veterans by ensuring they have safe and comfortable homes. The repairs vary based on homeowner needs and can vary from accessible ramps, showers and grab bars to eliminating safety hazards as well as exterior repairs that are subject to code enforcement citations. No matter the size of the repairs, they have life-changing effects on the lives of the people and communities we serve.

This year, we're excited to apply funds raised through Long Beach Gives to make critical home repairs for three deserving homeowners during October’s Make a Difference Day. Donations will help cover the cost of construction materials, tools, equipment rentals, permits, food for our volunteers, and other essential supplies.
