Each prize category (except Random Hearts) will be separated into three groups* based on the annual budget of the nonprofit. The Steering Committee may add more prizes if additional sponsors are secured.

Please complete this form for staff members or others (board, volunteers, etc.) who will be supporting your Long Beach Gives Champion and therefore need to also receive campaign updates. Your Champion will be the primary point of contact to keep some consistency in relaying information but we recommend a support team, when available.

Michelle Molina
Michelle Molina helps simplify data. She partners with nonprofits to help them use data to improve their work, make informed decisions, and explore their impact. By helping organizations consider their context, she helps them refine their goals so that they can collect data that is meaningful. Her master’s in Education focusing on Social Research Methodology from UCLA gave her the technical skills she needs to collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data. Her experience working with a variety of organizations has helped her understand that effective evaluations must focus on use, be done in partnership with key stakeholders, and consider the systems initiatives live in.

Michael Kass, Founder, Story & Spirit
Michael Kass is the Founder of Story & Spirit where he helps individuals and organizations harness the power of story and breath to create a more just, equitable, and vibrant world. He has been facilitating storytelling, mindful communication, and stress reduction workshops since 2012 for clients including Center for Nonprofit Management, Nonprofit Finance Fund, Google X, The Music Center, City of Los Angeles City Council, and hundreds of individuals from all over the world. Michael is a certified coach through ICF, certified Breathwork Facilitator, a Reiki Master Teacher, and sits on the Board of Directors of The Breath Center. He also probably likes brownies more than you do.

Janet Levine, Owner, Levine Consulting
Janet Levine has worked in the nonprofit and educational sectors since 1988, beginning her career at USC. Prior to starting her consultancy, she was VP of University Advancement at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Other positions included Dean for External Relations at Pasadena City College, Executive Director of the Foundation at El Camino College and development positions at the American Film Institute, the University of Oregon and the Reason Foundation. In addition to consulting for a wide variety of nonprofit and educational organizations, she regularly teaches courses in non-profit management, fundraising and grant development, both face-to-face and online. In her for-profit life, she was a magazine editor and writer, insurance broker, and owner of a graphic arts company. She earned an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.

Michelle Byerly, Executive Director for The Nonprofit Partnership, has been working in the non-profit sector for over 16 years. She has served in various roles in her career, providing direction and supervision in the areas of social services, education, fundraising and youth and family programming. From these experiences she grew to have a passion for working in collaboration with the nonprofit community. Michelle is honored to be a part of TNP, of building the capacity of nonprofits so they can make positive change in their communities. Sweeney Mae Montinola, Marketing Director
Sweeney Mae is a multi-award-winning Marketing Director for SouthBay Pavilion. Her expertise includes digital marketing, event production, creative marketing solutions, community relations and social media marketing. Sweeney Mae currently serves as a Public Relations Commissioner for the City of Carson and a Board Member for the Carson Gardena Rotary Club and the Carson Sheriff’s Station Support Foundation. She is a guest lecturer at CSUDH, CSULB, local Chambers of Commerce, and The Nonprofit Partnership. She served as VP of Marketing for the Filipino American CoC SouthBay and Los Angeles Area, Board Member of the LA South Chamber, President of the Carson Gardena Dominguez Rotary Club, VP of Communications for the Women’s Business Council of Long Beach, and Board Member of the Gardena Carson YMCA. Sweeney Mae holds a B.A. in Marketing from Washington State University and a CMD (Certified Marketing Director) designation from International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
