Farm Lot 59

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 2010, we are a working urban farm specializing in growing rare and unusual flowers and organic vegetables. Complete with a greenhouse and 2 USDA-funded high tunnels, our farm demonstrates a small-scale model of regenerative agriculture.

We are committed to:
✔️ Eliminating food miles and addressing the need for more food access, specifically fresh produce.
✔️ Teaching community residents about farming and growing their own food.
✔️ Educating youth on growing and eating healthy food through outdoor education programs.

We have a long history of giving back to our community:
✔️ Regularly donate plants and seeds to school and community gardens throughout the city.
✔️ Since March of 2020, we have donated over 6,000 pounds of our organically grown produce and over 500 chef-prepared meals.
✔️ Hosted 1,000's of youth in our outdoor education programming.
✔️ Currently provide a newly formed Food Hub located at Admiral Kidd Park on the west side of Long Beach with weekly vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers to serve vulnerable populations, help with immediate food needs, and empower them to eat and live healthier lives.

We take great pride in nurturing the earth; producing vegetables, fruits, and flowers to share with our community; and educating residents to do the same. As a non-profit we fund our efforts through generous donations.

Our current goal: expanding our ✔️ youth and adult educational opportunities, ✔️ events, and ✔️ community outreach. Our Farm Lot Gives program needs your support to thrive and continue to grow for our community, as well as provide the programming and food necessary to support healthy families.
