The Art remains the last single-screen independent theatre in the city of Long Beach, and exhibits classic, documentary, and festival films, as well as current first-run movies. The Art also supports community events like screenings by local and student filmmakers, book signings, the Cambodia Town Film Festival and the Q Film Festival, and makes a substantial contribution to local Long Beach schools by providing field trips and theatre education at no charge to the schools.
