Betty’s House of Care is a woman- and minority-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving foster- and probation-involved boys a safe place to heal, grow, and belong.
Our organization was established in 2021, and our licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program in Long Beach opened on June 8, 2026. We provide 24-hour residential care for boys ages 12–17, including young people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Executive Director Aisha Emaguna brings hands-on experience as a foster parent in Los Angeles and Orange counties since 2019.
Every young person deserves consistency, compassion, and adults who will not give up on them. At Betty’s House, residents receive a stable home environment, trained supervision, therapeutic and behavioral support, educational assistance, transportation, life-skills development, healthy meals, recreation, and encouragement as they work toward lasting well-being.
Keeping a residential program ready requires support every day—even while placements and referrals are being processed. Donations help cover essential operating costs such as rent, trained 24-hour staffing, insurance, utilities, food, hygiene and school supplies, transportation, staff training and compliance, education support, and therapeutic services.
Your gift helps Betty’s House remain safe, staffed, supplied, and ready for the next young person who needs us. Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or more, you are helping create stability and opportunity for youth in care.
Please donate today and share our page with your family, friends, coworkers, and community. Together, we can make sure every boy who comes through our doors has a safe home and a real chance to thrive.
