The CHLB Foundation invests in capital improvements, equipment, programs and services at Community Hospital. The Foundation also invests in individuals by providing scholarships and internships for young professionals and professional development opportunities for Community Hospital staff. We have been in existence since 1972 and will be celebrating our fiftieth year of service to the community in 2022. Community Hospital will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024. The hospital is currently in the process of completing a full reopening and will shortly be sharing plans to retrofit and remodel the campus to sustain acute care and other health care services well into the future.

The mission of Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation (CHLBF): is to seek and provide financial support for Community Hospital Long Beach to ensure CHLB is a provider of state-of-the-art high quality health care to the residents and businesses on the eastside of Long Beach distinguished by compassionate care, exceptional physicians, leading technology and superior customer service that provides the best inpatient and outpatient health care services in the region.
