Programs and projects:
1. Direct rescue of thousands of at risk cats, often kittens too small to survive, or sick or injured, primarily from Long Beach Animal Care Service and getting them adopted
2. Creation of Kitten Care Kit program to help people care for kittens they find and keep them out of the shelter when possible
3. Co-founded a kitten nursery to save more vulnerable lives from Long Beach shelter
4. Secured a donation of an adoption van for Long Beach Animal Care Services to bring adoptions to the community, saving both cats and dogs
5. Established a spay/neuter program in 2023, first with a mobile unit serving Long Beach community cats, then expanding to a surgical suite, now serving thousands of cats, with low and no-cost care
6. Assist Long Beach Animal Care Services with spay/neuter of shelter cats so they could be adopted
7. Hold kitten care classes for Long Beach Animal Care Services staff and for the public
8. Partner with Long Beach Transit in a food drive - both human and pet food

Why foster? Why adopt? Why spay and neuter? Their lives depend on it!

This is Nehemiah. The rest of his litter and his mom, suffering from upper respiratory infections at a public shelter, had already been euthanized. A plea was sent out to rescue organizations to save him since he was starting to show symptoms of this very common and treatable condition but one often beyond the capacity of public shelters to manage, and he would be next. “He is too young to die”, the plea started. Yet that is the fate of too many kittens, born to die. Female cats have litter after litter, their bodies exhausted and nutritionally depleted, often giving birth to sick kittens, and sometimes succumbing themselves to illness, or being euthanized in shelters.

This cycle must stop. Please be part of the solution! For the kittens already here, we take them directly from shelters, get them healthy and get them home! To help prevent the heartbreak of more cats than can be saved, we offer low and no-cost spay/neuter clinics to get on the front end of the problem of too many unwanted litters. 

We are always looking for fosters, volunteers, adopters and donors!

$100 will help with the cost of spay/neuter for a cat!

$50 will cover vaccinations, formula, food, flea treatment, dewormer for a kitten or cat!

$10 will buy food!
