Disabled Resources Center, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

For 50 years, the Disabled Resources Center, Inc. (DRC) has been changing lives across our community by empowering people with disabilities to live independently, pursue their goals, and thrive. Every day, DRC provides life-changing programs and services, completely free of charge, to individuals and families who often have nowhere else to turn.

A donation to DRC is more than a contribution, it is an investment in independence, dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Whether someone is learning job interview and public speaking skills through our Employment Services Program, gaining confidence and self-advocacy skills in our Transitional Youth Program, accessing assistive technology, securing housing resources, or finding critical peer support during a difficult time, DRC meets people where they are and helps them build brighter futures.

Since our founding in 1976, DRC has continued to grow to meet the evolving needs of the disability community. From 2000 to 2022 alone, DRC more than doubled its facility size, expanded its staff, and significantly increased the number of programs offered. Today, we proudly serve many of the more than 100,000 people with disabilities living in our service area through a wide range of programs including employment services, independent living skills training, housing support, peer mentoring, benefits advocacy, mobility training, assistive technology, youth leadership development, and disaster preparedness resources.

Most importantly, every service we provide is offered free of charge to consumers — many of whom are low-to-moderate income individuals facing significant barriers to independence and opportunity.

With your donation, DRC can continue providing essential services, expanding opportunities for people with disabilities, and creating a more inclusive and accessible community for all. Every dollar helps someone gain independence, confidence, connection, and hope.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution today and becoming part of DRC’s mission to empower people with disabilities to live independently, make their own choices, and advocate for themselves.
