At DSF Werks, we’re a garage-powered community where underserved and emancipated foster youth get under the hood, hands-on skills in classic car restoration, automotive repair, and media arts.
Our seasoned mentors guide young adults through trades that spark confidence, creativity, and career readiness. In the shop and behind the lens, we help them shift gears toward a brighter future.
For youth aging out of foster care, the road ahead can be rough, with half facing homelessness within two years. We exist to change that trajectory.
By wrenching on old engines and capturing their stories on film, our youth find more than skills; they find connection, purpose, and pride. They build lasting relationships, create positive memories, and realize their worth, on and off the garage floor.

To be an inter-generational community that empowers underserved young adults ages 18-24, including those formerly in foster care. We provide vocational training in automotive restoration and modification, as well as media arts, mentorship, paid part-time internships, and full-time apprenticeships to help build stable, successful futures and avoid homelessness or incarceration.
