Elite Skills Development's EmpowerED program, is a modern life skills curriculum for middle and high school students in Long Beach. This hands-on program revives and updates traditional home economics education to meet 21st-century needs. It integrates essential skills—cooking, budgeting, home repair, self-care, safety, and emergency readiness—to address the real-life challenges students face as they transition to adulthood. Each participant will graduate the program with practical knowledge, increased confidence, a sewing kit, hand tools, first aid kit and other resources to support lifelong self-sufficiency.
