Eye Discover offers an empowering Artivism (Art and Activism) Education program that utilizes Art, Stem, Literacy, and Activism in order to encourage students to explore their cultural and emotional identities. We want our students, parents, and staff members to see their voices as boundless and art as a key tool when taking on roles in community spaces and all activism they participate in.
Our culturally responsive curriculum integrates art and STEM, giving students opportunities to express themselves through meaningful projects while addressing issues like gentrification, community policing, and environmental justice. Some examples of our powerful student voice amplification projects include our Liberation Projects and our Sustainable Up-cycling Fashion Showcases.
Through in-class programming, workshops, and after-school partnerships across the greater Los Angeles Area, we make our programs accessible, complementary to in-classroom learning, and inspire curiosity, collaboration, and leadership building. Every experience within our care nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and active communication among not only students and their peers, but the overarching community spaces which include general community members, parents, family members, and local legislation.
We believe in the power of our youth and their voices. We aim to fulfill the need to encourage youth leadership while amplifying community communication. After all, the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow.
