Our Mission: Protecting Long Beach Youth Athletes
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death in young athletes, claiming a life every 90 seconds in the U.S. Hearts On The Field Foundation was built on a simple belief: every child in Long Beach deserves to play the sports they love in a safe environment.
We bridge the gap in sports safety by providing local youth leagues, schools, and athletic clubs with essential medical oversight, AED access, and certified CPR workshops.
Our Local Impact So Far
300+ Lives Empowered: We have trained over 300 Long Beach coaches, parents, and youth athletes in lifesaving Hands-Only CPR.
Free Event Medical Coverage: We provide 100% free medical coverage to local non-profit youth sporting events so safety is never sidelined by budget constraints.
AED Access & Readiness: Placing and maintaining life-saving Defibrillators where our local athletes need them most.
Where Your Long Beach Gives Donation Goes
Your donation during Long Beach Gives directly funds all of our core community safety programs:
Free Event Medical Coverage: Keeping certified medical personnel on the sidelines of local non-profit sports games so young athletes get immediate care when injuries or emergencies happen.
Hands-Only CPR & AED Workshops: Expanding our free training sessions across Long Beach so more coaches, parents, and players know how to respond in a cardiac emergency.
The Hearts on the Field Mobile Clinic: Bringing free baseline vital sign checks (Blood Pressure, Glucose, Sp02, Heart Rate, and Respiratory evaluations) directly to local parks and athletic fields to educate families and spot early SCA risk factors.
