House of Haven's Drop-In Center program is a low to no barrier site. That places high importance on feeling safe and welcomed. When ready, we provide easy access to education, work, and mental health/substance abuse recovery programs. With youth-focused programming, peer support and activities offer meaningful structure. Accompanied with solid service coordination, we continually assess for family engagement opportunities, emergency shelter, and transitional housing.
Our core goals are to increase family resiliency, support foster transition, build school site relations, meet basic needs, promote positive youth development, and master service coordination.
Every youth that enters our doors has to complete a needs-based assessment. Each youth will have a curated pathway to support them with their desired outcomes based on their needs. House of Haven team will collect and store real-time data in a performance management system that will allow us to monitor and assess youth milestones and outcomes and ensure consistent, high-quality service implementation.
Our pragmatic outcomes as an organization are that 80% of youth served will further their education, e.g., complete High School diploma/HiSet, enroll in post-secondary education or vocational training. In addition, 75% will gain employment or internship opportunities, 50% will move into supportive, stable housing, and 100% will receive linkages to other services based on need.
