Seeds of Morning Glory, Inc . has 5 deticated staff and rotating volunteers who work endless hours unloading the trucks, sorting and lifting product, bagging food, and distributing at four sites and the homeless population tin district 9 and the surrounding districts throughout the city of Long Beach. At the end of the day if you stand outside our door you may hear demands for IcyHot, salonpas, tiger balm, a chiropracter and a masseause. Interacting with the people attending our giveaways, seeing the smiles and expressions of relief on their faces makes it all worth while.
Serving the community is truly a labor of love.
It is our goal that no one goes to bed hungry.
Seeds of Morning Glory, Inc in collaboration with Abundant New Life Family Ministries had our first giveaway on May 4, 2019. We served 45 people on that day and 159 people for the month. In addition we are now in collaboration with Windward Village, Grant Child Development Center, Star View Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center, and continue to serve the homeless population.
In May 2020 we served 2,188 people. In May 2021 we served 2.185 people.
Our missions is to impact, empower, and enrich the lives of people in our communities. To promote self-sufficiency and stability to enhance quality of life. To collaborate with entities of like mind to provide services, resources, referrals, support, guidance, and hope to individuals and families. As we sow seeds into the lives of others we will witness and expirience the metamorphoses and the transiton of many people as they find their purpose in the world.
