U.S.VETS - Prescott opened its main facility and began serving homeless veterans on January 16, 2003. In sixteen years, it has provided housing and support services to over 2100 homeless veterans. Approximately 75 veterans are currently living in the organization's facility and other supportive housing units in the community. The organization provides a wide range of services including employment assistance, substance abuse treatment, job training, case management, sobriety support, mental health counseling, and both transitional and permanent housing.
U.S.VETS - Prescott offers our homeless and vulnerable veterans the following services:
Case Management- individualized case plans, goals, advocacy
Counseling- substance abuse treatment, PTSD, Moral injuries
Transportation
Employment Assistance- job interview skills, job search, clothing, supportive employment needs (uniforms, tools, etc.)
Housing assistance- move in assistance, utility assistance, housing search and advocacy, furniture
Life Skills Groups- art, sobriety support, hiking, writing, motivation
Culinary Skills training- 13 week curriculum for food service employment
Outreach- clothing, emergency shelter, food, supplies
