Help a Long Beach Neighbor Put Food on the Table

This Long Beach Gives, Help Us Make Sure No Neighbor Has to Face Hunger Alone.

Every week, right here in Long Beach, children, seniors, families, veterans, people with disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness turn to Help Me Help You because they need something many of us take for granted: food, support, and someone willing to help them find a way forward.

For more than 20 years, Help Me Help You has been standing alongside Long Beach residents when times are difficult.

We provide food through school and community food pantries. We deliver groceries to seniors who cannot easily get to a pantry. We help residents apply for CalFresh, Medi-Cal, Social Security, General Relief, and other benefits that can make the difference between simply surviving and becoming more financially secure.

But we can't do this work without our community.

Our Long Beach Gives Goal: $10,000

This year, we're asking our Long Beach community to help us raise $10,000 to keep food, benefits assistance, and essential support available to the people who need it most.

Your donation helps us continue meeting people where they are—with groceries, resources, information, compassion, and hope.

What Your Gift Can Help Make Possible

$25 — Helps Put Food on the Table
Your gift helps provide nutritious groceries to a local family, senior, or individual experiencing food insecurity.

$100 — Helps Keep a Senior Connected to Food
Your gift helps support grocery delivery for seniors and residents who have difficulty traveling to a food pantry.

$250 — Helps Keep Our Community Food Network Moving
Your gift helps with the transportation, supplies, equipment, and operating costs required to get food from our pantry locations to the people who need it.

Every gift matters.

Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or $500, you are helping a Long Beach neighbor get through a difficult season.

Meet the People Behind the Mission

One Long Beach Food Pantry Delivery client told us:  “I would take three buses and walk over an hour to make the trip for my groceries until I became too weak to make the trip. Thank God for Help Me Help You, who are kindly delivering my food pantry selection of groceries to my door. I don't know how I would survive without them.”

Another client told us:  “Your fresh nutritious groceries are a lifesaver to me and my family.”

These aren't statistics.

These are our neighbors.

They are the grandmother living on a fixed income.

The parent trying to stretch a paycheck until the end of the month.

The senior who can no longer travel easily.

The family choosing between groceries and another household bill.

The person who doesn't know they qualify for benefits—or doesn't know where to begin.

And sometimes, all they need is someone to say:

“We're here. Let's figure this out together.”

                                               Why Your Support Matters Now

Food and economic insecurity don't disappear simply because emergency funding ends or a grant period comes to a close.

The need continues.

And as a community-based organization, we want to make sure Help Me Help You can continue responding when our neighbors need us.

Individual donors give us something that grants often cannot: flexibility.

Your donation can help us respond to immediate needs, keep pantry operations moving, support grocery delivery, provide benefits enrollment assistance, and continue serving Long Beach residents throughout the year.

                                                      Help Us Reach $10,000

Imagine what happens when our community comes together:

100 people giving $25 = $2,500

50 people giving $50 = $2,500

25 people giving $100 = $2,500

10 people giving $250 = $2,500

Together, that's $10,000—and thousands of dollars can translate into food, transportation, outreach, benefits assistance, and direct support for Long Beach neighbors.

This Long Beach Gives, Don't Just Give.

Help a neighbor eat.

Help someone find a path toward greater economic security.

Give today and help Help Me Help You continue helping Long Beach residents help themselves.

Together, we can make sure that when a Long Beach neighbor reaches out for help, there is someone there to answer.

Support Help Me Help You this Long Beach Gives.

Every neighbor matters. Every dollar matters. Every act of kindness matters.
