Long Beach Symphony

🎶 Elementary School Ensembles: A Music Education Program 🎶

This year, the Symphony’s Long Beach Gives campaign focuses on Elementary Ensembles, a pivotal program that brings professional chamber musicians directly into 60+ elementary schools. Each year, Long Beach Symphony partners with the Long Beach Unified School District and select LAUSD schools in neighboring communities to provide 2nd and 3rd graders with an engaging, 40-minute interactive performance. Students are introduced to the different families of orchestral instruments and discover how each creates its unique sound.

This year, students will experience one of four different musical ensembles:

🎻 String Ensemble
 🎺 Brass Quintet
 🎵 Woodwind Quintet
 🥁 Percussion Ensemble

For many children, this is their first opportunity to experience professional musicians up close and discover an instrument they may one day want to play themselves.

Your support will help keep these musical experiences in our schools and ensure that more children have the opportunity to discover the power of music.

We hope you’ll consider making a gift to Long Beach Gives this year and thus supporting music education!
