PUREST Academy for Kids, Inc.

We do not take a one size fits all approach to a family's enrollment needs as well as a child's developmental needs. We work to accommodate families based upon their specific needs while ensuring that these accommodations do not hinder the Program in any way. Annually the PUREST Academy is open five days per week, 260 days per year which allows us to serve over 50 children of working families in the Infant and Pre K Programs. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to delivering innovative culturally diverse curricula that will prepare children for transition to Kindergarten. The leadership of the PUREST Academy is committed to service accessibility regardless of the financial circumstances of parents and guardians of the children that we serve.

In the Infant Program, our approach to providing care to infants and toddlers are relationship-based. The care staff are trained and supervised to relate in a respectful and caring manner encouraging children to engage in learning that is guided by their curiosity and in-home as well as the care setting culture. The focus in this program is around age appropriate gross and fine motor skills development, nutrition, and toilet training. As the children transition from infant to toddler stage, the program curriculum supports verbal and non-verbal communication as well as individual and group socialization skills.

In the Pre-K program, the students are supported in a more structured manner building on their existing gross and fine motor abilities, more active participation in the eating habits and emerging understanding of nutrition, as well as having consistent toilet habits.

The activities are both individualized and in groups where the children are encouraged to build their vocabulary and quantification skills as they relate to learning about animals, seasons, culture, history, art, and music. The children are also introduced to paired, small group, and community projects intended to meeting their developmental milestones and to prepare them for Kindergarten.
