The Women's Moto Project

A nonprofit organization

The Women's Moto Project is a 501 (c) (3) public charity based in Long Beach. Our training is inexpensive (just $20 to reserve a spot) and thereby accessible. The cost (which covers only the liability insurance) includes the use of protective equipment and small displacement motorcycles. Each of our skills-focused and life-saving drills is custom-tailored to meet the needs of every rider, regardless of skill. We welcome all levels of female riders (and those who identify as female) and have a volunteer team of all expert female motorcycle trainers.

Testimonials

"For me, it's really important to be in an environment that's non-judgmental. People are really here to learn." -Julia, TWMP participant

"I have fears of going into turns, that's what I've been working on when doing The Women's Moto Project and I have certainly gained more confidence." -Twila, TWMP participant

"It's a guy dominant sport and you see the women, but they're on the backs of the bike. I've been on the back of a bike twice and it's boring. The Women's Moto Project, I love it! On the bike, right in front of the throttle, not on the back, let's do this!" -Priscilla, TWMP participant

Mission

The goal of The Women's Moto Project is to create a safe & encouraging environment for women riders who have an M1 (or motorcycle endorsement equivalent), to practice their skills in a controlled and supportive environment. We promote, foster, and instill confidence while building skills and camaraderie in the fastest-growing demographic on two wheels. We envision a safer community, where training is commonplace and women's ridership expands worldwide.
