Support Mutual Aid for Immigrant Families

Every two weeks, immigrant families come together at ÓRALE’s Mutual Aid sites across Long Beach. They leave with bags filled with fresh produce, frozen goods, and pantry staples, but what happens in these spaces goes beyond food.

Families connect with neighbors. They learn about health and wellness resources. They find out about other support available to them. Most importantly, they are welcomed into a space where community members show up for one another with dignity and care.

In 2025 alone, 3,513 community members received food support through ÓRALE’s Mutual Aid efforts, and approximately 65,000 pounds of fresh and nonperishable food were distributed in partnership with the LA Food Bank and Food Forward.

Behind every one of those numbers is a family, a neighbor, or a community member who knows they don’t have to navigate difficult moments alone.

That’s why I’m raising funds for ÓRALE’s Mutual Aid work this Long Beach Gives.

Your donation helps keep these gatherings going and ensures immigrant families continue to have spaces where they can access food and resources, connect with their community, and feel supported and cared for.
