Hello my name is Khabeth and I am the Health Justice Manager at ORALE. For the last 4 years I have been coordinating ORALE's niehgborhood Mutual Aid Program alongside community leaders!

I am raising funds because I have first hand seen the impact that community led programs can have on our folks! These leaders know first hand what it means to navigate systems that were deisgned to question thier very existence. They lead these distributions while also adovcating for food justice and immigrant justice, to ensure the families in thier nieghboorhood have access to crucial resources.

Over the years we have seen the the number of families attending our distributions increase, with last year serving over 3,513 families. As the federal government conitually targets immigrant communities and stips access to crucial saftey net programs, we do not see this number decreasing anytime soon! This funding will ensure we have the necessary materials and resources so that our leaders can lean on and can continue distributing food to thier niegbors.
