From humble beginnings in a modest home on 84th and Quincy in inner-city Cleveland, I rose from the barriers of poverty and limited opportunity to become a corporate attorney, NFL/NBA contract advisor, and the founder of BOSS (Business of Student Success). I know firsthand what it means to grow up without mentors, resources, or clear pathways to success—and how transformative it is when those supports are in place. That lived experience fuels BOSS’ mission: to equip under-resourced youth with the academic skills, mentorship, and confidence to not just survive, but to lead and thrive. Today, BOSS scholars outperform district peers, rise as leaders in their schools, and enter college and careers with purpose and preparation.
