Keep Long Beach History Alive!

As the Outreach Coordinator at HSLB, I'm responsible for taking care of membership, greeting and assisting gallery visitors, posting to social media, and sending out our monthly newsletter. But one of the best parts of reaching out is representing the Historical Society of Long Beach at community events. Long Beach is home to a beautifully diverse population. Because of my work here, I've been to everything from neighborhood block parties to cultural festivals to gala fundraisers. And at every event, I've met some of the people that Long Beach such a wonderful place to be.

The HSLB helps make the history of this amazing city accessible to everyone by preserving the images, documents, and artifacts that tell their stories. We make sure everyone in this city can find their history in our archives. But we can't do this work without the help and support of the community whose stories we're trying to tell.
