Help Support CART

The Child Abuse Response Team (CART) is a team of volunteers who are on call 24/7.  Highly trained and supervised by For The Child, our team responds to cases for children and teens at three local hospitals when sexual abuse is suspected by law enforcement. Arriving with a tote full of books, crayons and toys, we provide support, comfort, and advocacy for the child victim throughout the process of the forensic medical exam. Each child receives their very own teddy bear, along with a packet containing counseling resources. We also provide snacks and a change of clothes, if needed. CART volunteers provide reassurance to children and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Your donations will go directly to providing support for CART, like teddy bears, toys and games for the children.

For The Child provides professional intervention, treatment, and other services to children and their families who have been witnesses or victims of abuse, neglect, and domestic or community violence.
