Anytown Camp. Brotherhood Sisterhood Camp.  Building Bridges Camp.

For more than 70 years, CCEJ (formerly known as NCCJ) has offered a camp for high schoolers to learn about social change in a safe and brave environment.  At this 3-day retreat (held twice annually), 100 youth take part in interactive workshops and dialogues to build connections across different racial and gender identities, sexual orientations, socioeconomic classes, abilities, and faiths.

No matter what our alumni call it, we know that Camp is life-changing.  Tens of thousands of alumni have become leaders for equity and justice in their communities.  We are proud to count numerous alums among our Board , staff and volunteers.

"The summer of 1974 was a transformational time for me!  I went to Brotherhood Camp, took summer school classes that were run like an EST training, and attended an Encounter group at U.C. San Diego—this was a lot for a 15-year-old!  At camp, I met people with wholly diverse backgrounds who became lifetime friends.  I developed a curiosity and caring for people different from me, which engendered my lifetime attraction and commitment to diversity."  - Jeff Schaffer, CCEJ Board Member & NCCJ Camp Alum

It costs CCEJ approximately $500 per camper to offer this unique and transformative experience - donations from alumni help defray the cost for schools and families. Your gift will make sure our youth leaders can access this amazing experience, no matter which school they attend or how much income their family has.

CCEJ/NCCJ Alums - share this fundraiser with your networks, tell them how much camp means to you, and encourage them to give to CCEJ on September 18th!
