Hi! I am an intern with the Long Beach Blues Society, and they are a nonprofit that supports seniors, veterans, and K-12 students through blues music.

The Long Beach Blues Society serves youth, seniors and veterans and underserved communities by providing inspirational learning opportunities, concerts and interactive engagements across Southern California through the time and talents of award winning Blues artists, writers, broadcasters and educators. We preserve the past and promote the future of the Blues!

LBBS Programs:
Blues for Seniors provides uplifting concerts to seniors, including those with limited income and/or limited access to live entertainment. We travel to assisted living facilities, as well as partnering with local community centers for performances.
Blues For Vets uses the power of music and creativity to support veterans’ psychological and emotional needs through the art of music. They can learn to express these feelings in a healthy way, and as a result, experience healing and positivity, and feel connected to a friendly community who is here to help them move forward in life.
Blues in the Schools programs are tailored to meet the specific educational and developmental needs of students. There are two main Blues in the Schools presentations - in a classroom setting with music students, and in a school assembly setting with the broader student population.
