As the Long Beach City College Foundation's Senior Director of Development & Athletics, I know the impact that giving can have. 

I’m a proud Long Beach native, and sports have always been a huge part of my life. In high school, I was a three-sport athlete, and I went on to play Division I softball on a full scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh. Later, I coached at the Division I level while earning my master’s at Marshall University.

I’ve spent over 20 years working in development and advancement, both in the non-profit world and in higher education. Along the way, I earned my Master of Arts in Communications and Business Consulting, plus a few certificates in fundraising. Over the years, I’ve done just about everything in this field—major gifts, grant writing, donor relations, special events, marketing, volunteer management, strategic planning—you name it. 

My career has taken me from working with local nonprofits and Catholic education to some of the biggest sports organizations out there, including the NFL, NCAA, and NBA.
