The Jazz Angels

I am happy to be raising funds for The Jazz Angels so that they can reach more of our youth and help bring music to their schools and communities.

Our son played the sax with this great organization from the time he was in the 4th grade until going off to university. The Jazz Angels is where he built self-confidence and learned so much about music. 

The Jazz Angels have nurturing rehearsals and performances, ensuring that all students gain confidence and personal satisfaction. 

Our mission is to use the transformative power of music to develop and enrich young people, while preserving the legacy of jazz and global heritage music.

Our services include programs for Long Beach School middle schools; Rising Tide (an education center for underserved downtown Long Beach children), classes for the United Cambodian Community program and weekend rehearsals at our studio. We plan a variety of youth performances at local music scenes and several Long Beach parks.

We partner to provide special performances for charitable organizations such as Long Beach VA hospital, Jewish and Family Children Services, Miller Children's hospital, Young Horizons and our Port of Long Beach performance and education program, Support the Port which educates underserved children on LB Port employment opportunities.

I am honored to be on the Board of The Jazz Angels because I know that this program can be a transformative experience for so many kids.
