"KUBO Organizing Project (KOP) has a special place in my heart! When the world opened up again after COVID, I did a lot of reflection to open myself up again too to re-engage with the community. The universe brought me to KUBO. 

I started off as a Vendor for KUBO Long Beach's First Friday and Merkado, making friends and new connections. With encouragement from Anne, Jenn, and Romeo, I applied for KOP's Project Coordinator position. Through this role, I deepened my roots in Long Beach and strengthened my connections with amazing people and leaders. 

After a year, Romeo invited me to step into my power as a Project Director. As his successor, I was determined to continue what he and co-founder Jenn started: Providing cultural enrichment and health equity opportunties to the Filipinx Long Beach community and beyond. 

Now as an Advisory Board Member, I still support what KOP works towards and stand by Harmonie's new leadership so that we can all continue to offer opportunities for the community to come together in connection, joy, and celebration. I hope you can help us keep KUBO Organizing Project going!" -Jazlynn
