Lysistrata's Little Drawings for a Great Cause

This campaign has ended – you can still support the arts at AGCC by donating at https://angelsgateart.org/support/

Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC) offers FREE all-ages art workshops, extraordinary contemporary art exhibitions, a radical Teen Mural Club, poignant cultural events, unconventional art festivals, plus over 50 artist studios and arts education in local schools and more. Being involved here has renewed and expanded my connection with all kinds of art and community (so much that I will actually cry if I think too much about how much it means to me – don't make me!). And so:

Little Drawings for a Great Cause

• Donate to Angels Gate Cultural Center through this page and receive an original drawing on a Post-it by me (a professional illustrator, I've been told to remind you) as a THANK YOU for supporting the arts and arts education for all!
  • I'll do a little drawing of something by hand at AGCC on a sticky note. Will it be of Building A [galleries in former military barracks]? The printing press? A raven? One of our Directors? Will I stick with the classic yellow, or will there be pink? Donate now to find out! Each will be one of a kind.
• Suggested donation is $50
  • But every donation makes a difference, and I want everyone to feel good about giving whatever's comfy :) The minimum on this platform is $10, and it still gets you a Little Drawing thank you. Lovers of original art on a budget, rejoice!
• Want something specific drawn on a sticky note? Donate $75 or more and write your request in the Dedication field.
  • Your $75 (and up) donation also gets you and a guest an invitation to AGCC's Donor Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 24th. Lotsa cool stuff on the agenda – tacos and tote bags, screen printing and a show!

• *Please make sure your mailing address is accurate and allow 45 days from the end of the campaign to receive your drawing in the mail, or include SEE YOU SOON in the Dedication field to pick it up from me at AGCC. Donors outside the continental United States**
• **3M brand Post-it not guaranteed, you may receive a humble "sticky note"

I usually only draw on sticky notes to document concerts – I'm excited to extend the practice to showcase more things that I love and to share them with you :)

Hi, I'm Lysistrata!  I'm raising $1,000 to go towards keeping Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC)'s arts and arts education programs going strong. Your support doesn’t just keep the lights on over here in San Pedro, it keeps hearts and minds illuminated all over the region.

I've been doing Marketing and Outreach at AGCC since 2023 (there I am in the photo up top documenting AGCC's awesome Teen Mural Club). I get to wear a lot of hats, but I don't get to draw quite as much as I did in my freelance illustrator life, so I'm excited to bring these worlds together in this campaign.

Please consider donating to this incredible organization and help keep the arts and arts education accessible. Thank you for being a part of this with me!
