Next year, my husband and I will move away from the Long Beach area to the Phoenix area. This means that my time with the Chorale as a performing member since Season 25 is coming to a close in Season 37. It's important to me that the Chorale can continue in its mission to create an environment of belonging to entertain, educate, connect, and inspire audiences and members through music.
We need third spaces for LGBTQ+ people and their allies, and this is a need the Chorale has helped fill since 1990. I've met many dear friends--including my husband--through being a Chorale member.
A major portion of the Chorale's funding comes directly from individuals. Your donations big or small quite literally keep the lights on. Even $5 can cover the cost of two pieces of music for our singers. No amount is too small.
If you feel called to support the Chorale and have the ability to do so, we welcome your support through Long Beach Gives. Thanks to the Chorale for letting me be here since 2015, and I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for us.
