Sk8 HAVEN is dedicated to providing autism-friendly skate lessons, social recreation, and community-building opportunities for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and the entire neurodiverse community through specialized clinics and events.

This year, they are raising money to open the first autism-friendly indoor skate and community in Long Beach, a safe space where kids and families can skate, learn, and connect.

Carter’s Journey with Sk8 Haven 🛹

Carter, a bright and resilient neurodivergent kiddo, didn’t start out with an interest in skateboarding — but through Sk8 HAVEN, he discovered a whole new passion. What began as simply showing up has transformed into something so much more: a safe space where he’s challenged himself, built new skills, and grown to truly enjoy the sport.

With the support of the Sk8 Haven community, Carter has gained not only balance on the board, but balance in his confidence and outlook on life. Skateboarding has become an outlet that fuels his independence, joy, and self-belief. For Carter, Sk8 HAVEN is more than just a program — it’s a community that helps him shine brighter every day.
