Long Beach Blues Society

The mission of the Long Beach Blues Society (LBBS) is to serve youth, seniors, veterans, and underserved communities by providing inspirational learning opportunities, concerts, and interactive engagements across Southern California through the time and talents of award winning Blues artists, writers, broadcasters and educators. LBBS preserves the past and promotes the future of the Blues. The Long Beach Blues Society was founded in 2016 to empower Long Beach youth, the underserved, veterans, musicians, and the wider public with music engagement and blues education. LBBS programs for youth are driven by the passion to share the rich history of blues music to new generations who have little or no access to musical education and appreciation, and inspire youth to be part of a new movement in blues music. LBBS commits to the enduring legacy of blues music through all forms and seeks to continue one of the oldest and purest forms of expression so that those coming up in each generation knows of where it all began. LBBS seeks to teach each generation and encourage the generational creative process to excel.
