Habitat LA was originally established in Long Beach where we built our very first home and we continue to serve the community more than 30 years later. Our current commitment is through our Community Building and our Washington Neighborhood Revitalization program (WNR), a collaborative effort integrating residents, community leaders, and over 30 non-profit organizations serving Long Beach. Residents and community leaders play a major role in how this program evolves.

Our most recent build, a 36 townhome home development called Erin Grove, right here in Long Beach!

Through WNR, we recently our largest affordable housing project to date, Erin Grove,  a 36 townhome complex, right here in Long Beach!

Coming soon... our newest development - Orange Avenue, eight 2-story townhomes, located in North Long Beach!

Our work goes beyond providing homeownership opportunities as we've launched programs to improve the quality of life within the Washington Neighborhood. The Safe Passage Program addresses safety concerns for neighborhood children as they walk to and from school. To promote leadership development amongst residents we host Resident Leadership trainings. We've collaborated with city officials to provide the community with Neighborhood Branding (e.g. installing banners to boost a sense of community) and Beautification Projects (e.g. mural installed at Washington Middle School) and Safety Projects (e.g. installing lights to increase safety in alleyways) and more.
