Private Music Lessons for Long Beach Kids

Young people are passionate about music, but their families don't always have the resources to provide private lessons. As wonderful as school music teachers are, they just can't provide one-on-one instruction for each student in their ensembles. This is why private lessons are so crucial.

I benefitted from private lessons as a young musician. My private teacher was an expert on my instrument - the oboe. He helped me learn fingerings, techniques, different types of vibrato, and how to produce a beautiful sound when I played. It made all the difference for me.

When I was musically ready for a more experienced teacher, I was so grateful that my school music teacher nominated me for a scholarship through the Assistance League. It would have been difficult for my widowed mother to afford the more expensive lessons.
