Donate to the Greater Long Beach Mutual Aid Network to improve the lives of working class families. GLBMAN works in collaboration with Long Beach Forward and Food Forward to distribute food to upwards of 150 families each distribution. Your donations will always be used to feed and aid people in Long Beach, Carson, Wilmington, Bellflower, Southgate, and Norwalk.
The Greater Long Beach Mutual Aid Network is a collection of anti-capitalist community members who believe food is a human right, modern society has the ability to feed everyone, and profiting off food is unethical and immoral. Members of GLBMAN have been distributing food and baby supplies to residents of Long Beach, Carson, Wilmington, Bellflower, Southgate, and Norwalk since March of 2020. We have never and will never put a criteria in front of the supplies we share with community members. No matter who you are, you deserve food and material assistance.
From 2020 to mid 2023, we delivered food and baby supplies every week. Since 2024, our distributions are monthly, but we are working to increase the frequency of our distributions to our historical norm. In 2025, we took a step in this direction, and we now distribute bi-monthly on the first and third Thursday of every month. We believe materially supporting working class people allows them to build capacity in their lives to improve the situation for themselves, their children, and their community. When our community prospers, we all prosper. Help us to return to a level of activity that significantly improves people’s material conditions by donating an amount you can afford on a one time or recurring basis. Your donation will be used to purchase bags for packing, rice and beans, water and snacks for volunteers, and event supplies.
As members of the working class, we appreciate that some people cannot afford to make donations on their income. If you care about what we are doing and want to participate, new members are always welcome. Please fill out the form at this link.
