Help Gretchen Raise Funds for Stroke Support Assoc

As most of you know I have been very involved as a volunteer with Stroke Support Association for a number of years. We help stroke survivors and caregivers in many ways. Our website and social media outreach provide education and encouragement to a broad range of people. Several stroke survivors from our group visit patients at Memorial Med Center to listen and invite them to our groups. Our groups in person and on Zoom (folks across the US join in!) warmly connect with each other and learn ways to cope and thrive while living as a survivor or caregiver. Many times group members share that being in our group has made such a profound difference in their recovery. They find encouragement, supportive listening and a safe place to share their experience with others who have been on a similar path.

Being a facilitator and Board President at SSA has been such a meaningful way to contribute to our group members lives.
