Imagine being a young artist, full of ideas and talent, but unsure how to turn that passion into a future. That’s the reality for so many BIPOC students in our community; youth who dream of pursuing art but don’t yet have access to the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to make it sustainable.

That’s why we created this free 8-week program, developed in collaboration with the Ignite Arts & STEM. Designed for BIPOC students in grades 6–12, the program combines artistic growth with real-world entrepreneurial skills like marketing, financial management, and branding. Students don’t just learn how to make art—they learn how to build a career.

The journey ends in celebration: two public exhibitions, including a special showcase at the Rod Briggs Gallery in Long Beach, where students proudly present their work to the community. It’s a moment of validation, confidence, and possibility that can change the course of their lives.

But we can’t do this alone. This program is free for students—and that’s only possible through the generosity of people like you. Your donation directly supports supplies, instruction, and the space for these young artists to thrive.

When you give, you’re not just supporting art; you’re investing in the future of creativity, equity, and opportunity in Long Beach.
