Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and heard. 

As a member of the Board of Directors of For The Child, I have had the privilege of seeing the difference that compassionate, professional counseling can make in the life of a young person who has experienced neglect, abuse or trauma. 

For many children and teens, trauma can affect every part of their lives -how they see themselves, how they relate to others, and how they imagine their future.  For The Child provides a safe place where these young people can begin to process what they have experienced, develop healthy coping skills, and take important steps towards healing.
