L.B. In Your City News is an independent community multimedia team that was established in 2014 by Dusty Stiggers and Jeremiah Rosborough.

L.B. In Your City News captures the essence of culture, embraces diversity, inclusion, small businesses and reflects the positive perspective of news in our community.

Our mission is to empower the Long Beach community through multimedia experiences and professional development. By fostering professional opportunities and skills development (interpersonal communication and public speaking), we aim to elevate journalism standards and create a platform that amplifies voices, nurtures talent, and cultivates unity.

L.B. In Your City News offers monthly programs, activities and annual events like these below could use your support:

• FREE Monthly training and In-Services - our goal is to help provide professional skill development opportunities within media, videography, photography and filmmaking. Our training teaches transferable skill development and hands-on experience in journalism. We are currently in need of support to continue to offer this training FREE to Long Beach residents. We are working to increase training supplies like cameras, tripods, guest speakers on topics like public awareness on hate speech, journalism standards/ethics and sponsorship to further professional training opportunities. 
• Movies and Mental Health - is an initiative we started in the summer of 2025 which focuses on combating violence by promoting mental wellness, emotional regulation, and community connection through film, creative expression, and guided discussions. Participants explore mental health themes from selected movies, while engaging in interactive dialogue, meditation, and affirmations led by licensed wellness professionals. The program emphasized healing through storytelling, emotional intelligence, and media literacy for volunteers and participants and guest speakers.
• Community Service & Multicultural Awards Celebration - this event focuses on recognizing some of L.B. In Your City News trainees who have gone the extra mile to connect with the community through their journalism, networking with residents and showcasing the positive impacts many of our local nonprofits and small businesses make on our community. We need assistance with funding event planning logistics, plaques for community awards. 
• Social Skills Mentorship and ILS training program - this program is designed to support those with learning differences like autism, ADHD, social anxiety and other disabilities, second chance individuals who have been working diligently to recover and successfully complete reentry programs, opportunities to build language skills, social skills and transferable skills for the workplace or business development.
