Give the Gift of LIVE Music!

Please join us in making a difference with a gift of music! We're seeking to raise up to $1,000 to provide inclusive and accessible concerts to Long Beach organizations serving our most vulnerable citizens and communities affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias, Autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, and socioeconomic challenges.

Through our current partnership with Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, "Healing Harmonies" brings professional musicians and interactive music experiences directly to pediatric patients and their families, in two complementary formats:

Virtual Bedside Performances provide direct access to patients regardless of mobility, medical restrictions, or isolation protocols. 30-minute zoom sessions are designed as an interactive “game show” experience that invites children to actively participate from their hospital rooms.

Live Hallway Performances bring professional musicians directly into the hospital environment each month, rotating through patient care areas and different wings of the hospital. Small ensembles perform calming, uplifting music from the hallways, allowing patients, families, visitors, and hospital staff to experience the benefits of live music.

Our work in Long Beach has also included "Music & Memories" concerts at Brittany House, where residents living with dementia had opportunities to sing, reminisce, engage with musicians, and connect with one another through familiar music.

"Moon River", "Fly Me to the Moon", and a Beatles medley, performed by a live duet of violin and viola, were big hits. However, it was "La Vie en Rose" ("A Life in Pink") and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that evoked a chorus of voices singing and humming along.

Karen, the beautiful woman in yellow shown in the photo below, shared the following: "I love having you here! The music makes me feel, and I know when to sing along and when not to sing along. Please come back."
