Long Beach Gives Afterparty

At Long Beach Organic, we believe everyone deserves the ability to grow food they can trust. Across our eight community gardens, more than 250 gardeners are doing exactly that: cultivating their own fruits and vegetables, free from the uncertainty of a supply chain they can't see into. When you grow your own tomatoes or greens, you know exactly what went into them and how they were handled, from seed to table. Through our gardens our community regains a sense of control, self-reliance, and peace of mind in an increasingly unpredictable food system.

That's why this September, we're joining Long Beach Gives; a citywide, online fundraising campaign that raises awareness and inspires community giving for Long Beach nonprofits. The goal is simple: to rally individuals and businesses across our community to support the work of local nonprofits making a real difference, and to help fund that work for the year ahead.

Early giving begins Thursday, September 17, and you can contribute toward our goal through September 24. This year, we're hoping to raise over $10,000 to support our efforts in combating food insecurity — and every gift, big or small, helps us get there.
