As City Health Officer, I know that all Long Beach community members deserve care and connection. 

I work with our clinical services teams and have seen firsthand how shifts in healthcare funding impact patients. HIV Care and Coordination Clinic (HCC) clients who received transportation and housing support from federally funded programs no longer get that benefit. Gaps in services can't be bridged by grant funds alone. The HHS Fund's Direct Client Support can fund medical transportation and other basic needs delivery for the Health Department's most vulnerable patients.

From September 18 to September 24, it's Long Beach Gives. 
Let's uplift growing client needs and give generously, if we can.

  • $25 - $50 could cover one-time testing costs for a neighbor in need.
  • $100 could fund five medical transportation rides to eliminate access barriers.
  • $250 could supply clinical supplies to address sudden community health needs.

The time is now. Barriers to basic needs are real. HHS Fund supporters can make Long Beach healthier, funding fund rides to vital care and meeting urgent needs with flexible resources.
