Make a difference in the arts!

Eleven years ago, I joined the Arts Council for Long Beach as its Grants and Marketing Manager. I was an artist looking for a way to become more involved in my city—to make a meaningful difference for other artists and for the future of the arts in Long Beach.

This role felt like the perfect fit. I knew firsthand how difficult it could be for emerging artists and recent arts graduates to find opportunities, support, and a path forward. I wanted to help build a community where artists could grow, create, and thrive.

Over the years, I have seen the Arts Council for Long Beach make that vision real. Through arts learning programs, grantmaking, artist support, public-art projects, arts advocacy, and community-centered events, the Arts Council helps ensure that creativity remains a vital part of life in Long Beach.

The arts bring people together. They create opportunities for young people, amplify local voices, strengthen neighborhoods, and make our city more vibrant and connected.
