Jocelyn's FunAmerican Pride sails full STEAM ahead

Youth make discoveries about themselves, their abilities, and the world around them through our TopSail Youth Program.  On American Pride, our crew guides upper elementary, middle and high school students through various activities required to operate a complex sailing vessel, as well as specific STEAM lessons tailored to the group's grade level and educational priorities. 

With unparalleled access to the coastal ecosystems in and around the port of Long Beach, students participate in hands-on activities such as examining marine life from an offshore perspective, testing water quality,  fostering environmental awareness, and bringing STEAM subjects to life.  

Students gain awareness to the many maritime career paths and vocational opportunities available in their community.
