CityHeART Loves Long Beach

We’ve decided to officially start calling our unique service model The HeART Bridge, which reflects exactly what we do: we walk alongside people as they cross from stories of struggle told about them to stories of strength they tell for themselves. This bridge only stands because of the love and effort poured in by volunteers, staff, partners, and team members like you. Right now, we need your help to strengthen this bridge, so we can keep walking with our neighbors and ensuring no one has to make the journey alone.

Where are your donations going?

• HeARTy Foods: a weekly food bank that offers a heART-forward approach to food security for Veterans, seniors, and families in Long Beach and includes ready-made, home-cooked meals.
• Art from Ashes Youth Storytelling Summit: an innovative and transformative four-day retreat for high school students in Long Beach and Avalon combining art, storytelling, self-exploration, community service, leadership, and personal transformation.
• Veterans Homefront HeARTLine: a dedicated resource bank and support system for Veterans experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Long Beach.
• WholeHeART WholeHealth: a FREE weekly health wellness clinic that provides access to community health nursing, educational workshops, health screenings and assessments, healthcare coordination, and mental health services.
• CityHeART Radio: inviting partners and service providers to promote their services and helping to ensure no good story goes unheard. 
• Art from Ashes Magazine: promoting local artists and inviting community members to share their stories.
